My favorite piece that I've done so far would be the piece that I did for Sarasota Film Festival:
The reason for this is because I got to use some of my frame-by-frame Flash animation background to create it. I love animating in this style despite how much longer it takes and I'm glad I got to utilize it for a larger project.
For my Peace One Day project this is my storyboard:
And this is my animatic:
Hi Kavan,
ReplyDeleteNice work on your animatic! I really like the story.
I'd suggest that you may need something visually stronger than the shots of the wolf and elk holding their axes and then the blood covering the screen for the "going to war, both killed" part.
You don't have to show the actual war or violence, I like that you've only suggested it, but I think your imagery could be much more powerful here.
I'd suggest showing the wolf and the elk in separate CU's or MCU's charging at each other, with the axes held up ready to strike, then show the blood filling the screen.
I would then include an image of them both dead, or an image that very clearly and powerfully suggests that they are dead. Maybe the fathers can be in that image too, mourning. It might be more powerful to have them actually embrace each other in their sorrow as they choose peace at the end.
Just some things to think about...
